Project examples: Organisation & Implementation

The following examples have been selected from the partners’ portfolios. They illustrate the range of services provided by the European Partner Group in the area of Organisation & Implementation.

Restructuring

We supported the redesign and resizing of a leading Internet Service Provider. The work included the assessment of the existing organisation, the redesign of existing processes, the development of a target organisation as well as implementation support. The project resulted in cost savings of 30% in the first year.

Establishment of a Pan-European Headquarter

The project aimed at the creation of a single Pan-European Headquarter for a company that had operated for decades from two different headquarters. We undertook extensive analysis and redesign of all major activities and processes that had to be changed, and developed a convincing approach to manage the cultural conflicts.

New organisation structure for merger of two transport

companies

The project created an organisation structure for the merged company that was designed to preserve best practices of the two companies, as well as create a new customer-oriented structure to support the next stage of the company's growth. The project involved extensive joint work with the management from both companies.

Organisation decentralisation

A multi-business transport company wanted to decentralize its organisation to give more freedom to its businesses and reduce overheads. We recommended activities for decentralizing, based on an analysis of cross-business synergies, cost savings and business risks, and then worked with managers on detailed redesign of organisation roles/responsibilities and processes.

Development of a marketing organisation

We carried out a ‘classic’ organisation study for a major European airline. The study included an inventory of all organisational units and their business activities, reassessment of these activities, and development of a new organisation structure to fit with new strategic priorities.
