The following examples have been selected from the partners’ portfolios. They illustrate the range of services provided by the European Partner Group in the area of Transaction support.

Joint Venture

Defined and evaluated partnering options for a Mobile Network Provider, covering both infrastructure sharing and national roaming. The options were defined, financially evaluated, and the strategic implications developed for decision by management, in direct support of the negotiation team.

Acquisition and bid support

The partners have supported a variety of bids by corporate and private equity clients. The support has included strategic and commercial due diligence, financial modeling, developing profit improvement plans, and addressing key valuation issues. The bids have included:
  • European rail wagon leasing businesses
  • A UK rail freight operator
  • A European ferry operator
  • Passenger rail concessions
  • A privatised air traffic control system

Acquisition search

The partners have undertaken acquisition searches for clients in a variety of industries and countries. The projects include searches for:
  • European third party logistics companies, for a US logistics provider
  • Passenger rail concessions for various rail operators worldwide
  • Private bus companies in six countries, for a UK operator
  • Support services for the shipping industry in Asia
  • Parcel and express freight operators across Europe

Partnering

Supported client in carrying out partnering negotiations. The client was looking for wholesale partners to boost sales power and market presence. The work included the evaluation of potential wholesale partners and the support of the negotiation teams in carrying out 10+ parallel negotiation streams.
